Hey folks,

New to Wellington, I'll be here for 5 months. I'm still learning and I'm just at the point where I can go upwind-ish. I'm in the CBD, can anyone recommend some spots to kite/hire gear and maybe a lesson? I hear around Miramar is only really for advanced peeps?

Head up to Waikanae and see Stafford at xtreme kapiti.
Or Butch at wind warriors in Foxton. Both prime spots for learning.

Hi Giggidy. Have you joined the Facebook group Kitesurfing Wellington Aotearoa? The folk on this site were very friendly & helpful when I was passing through last year. And people often post wind updates & where they are kiting.

Hey dude,

A friend of mine has just opened a new school/shop/cafe near Wellington recently. Check it out: www.facebook.com/ksurfnz/

Che is one of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet.
