Went there about 3 years ago for a weekend from HK. Stayed at a place called the spot. A guy called tony fish is the owner. Got some good wind on the second day on the first day nothing. The area was pretty....Taiwanese from what I recall, good local sea food and beer.....fun for a weekend it I wouldn't want to live there full time.

Hi beersy, going over to teach English?

I lived and kited there a few years back. Posted some info previously on the forum that you might find using search. If no luck, send me a pm and I'll let you know my thoughts and a good contact.
Good luck

Beersy,

Good to meet you on the weekend mate. Here's the link to the wind forecast for 'Spot' in Zhunan, Taiwan: www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=83755

FYI, we did a 22km down-winder on Sunday to wrap up the weekend.

Taiwan is one of the best places in the region to be based in my opinion - generally speaking, and particularly if you are into kietsurfing.

Penghu is easy and cheap to get to via domestic flights from the main cities (Taipei, Taizhong, Gaoxiong) and it's an excellent kiting destination.

There a descent write-up here:

Have fun, ????!
