Has anyone got any info on what the kiting is like in Phuket, Thailand? I'm looking to head there in January for a couple of weeks. I'm only a beginner but at the stage where I can get up and get going.

Not sure if you are going to take your own gear or hire but I have hired gear from KBA in Koh Samui and found them very helpful and their website has some local information on it as well. I just checked and they have a shop in Phuket.

Also added a link that I used to get an idea of average monthly wind speeds.
