Im going to nowra for 3 days wakeboarding but was hoping to get some afternoon kiting in when the wind picks up too much. Where are the best spots around Nowra and in what direction.
Flat water is better but i don't mind waves.
Cheers
Hit up the search function lots of talk about kiting around that area
Here's Dr Surfs web site he's based out of the Husskison area:

Could only find information about kiting in Jervis bay.. Im looking for good sports a bit further north. Shoalhaven kind of area.. any recomendations?.. looking for popular spots so i wont be kiting alone in a unfamiliar spot.
go to the heads... (shoalhaven heads), find your way to the pond... turn right at the bowlo, left at the tee, follow that till the end car park... needs high tide or you won't have water.. works in nor east but is gusty with a few holes and south/sou east, but needs to be strong, anything with even a slight bit of west in it is blocked by the mountain.... if its on the local crew (mennox &co) should be there, if not... follow the walk track from the end car park near the dunnies right round to the clearing behind the beach, there is plenty room to setup and launch there. if its an incoming tide, make sure you leave your gear high enough, cause its so shallow the tide seems to come in a long way, and it is shallow in spots, fifty metre fin scraping runs, catching an edge on turns type shallow, but super smooth, disco wog smooth..
over the dune from the dunnies is the beach, which is super fun if you don't want flat water and does not seem nearly as gusty in a nor east as the pond.
Lex we will all be down there over the long weekend , at this stage there might be a demo day at Shoalhaven heads.
All the latest North and Naish gear to demo, we then all want to do a downwinder and finish it off with a BBQ and beers at Shoalhaven Heads.
Pm me and I will send you my number, the more the better.
I hope you have a small kite as it blows hard dwn sth.
Yep ,the doctor knows where the butter smooth dancefloor is.Ive got it penciled in for Sat 18th Oct 1.78 high tide 10.20am .River is about 1.5 hrs behind sea.Hoping for a good noreaster, bring it on. Lex123 if you want smooth water this is the place, although the noreasters can get a bit gusty over 25 knots. You have to get it at high tide as well.
A big crew from NSWKBA, SSKC will be heading for Huskison on the weekend of 18-19 Oct. Hope to create a bit of havoc on Jervis Bay.
