Hi All

Wondering if anyone know of any good places to kite near Honolulu? I am going to be there for 3 days in mid Jan for work and i'm keen to get out on the water. Also any idea what the wind is like this time of year?

Thanks...

Chris

there is a spot for flat water just around from diamond head about 10 mins drive
it looked ok but has a few hazrds in the water - beacons etc - otherwise i saw people kite down to the right of waikiki from a park - best jump on a us forum and ask

Some kite at Diamond Head-although very gusty-the place the other fella' was mentioning was Kahala I think-OK, but usually flat water and again gusty-also shallow reef.

Depending on your ability get over to Kailua or the N Shore.

Hey cp,

Loco's right, Kahala is the place to go or Waikiki. Remembering that January is Kona Winds so Kailua winds blow opposite direction to normal trades and are frontal and gusty.

Good winds,
