Hey all,

Anyone tried Jobe wake helmets? I have a Gath helmet, but seriously lacking in protection in my opinion........

What brand do you go with and why?

Cheers!

KD

Lots of people wear Gath.
They provide sun protection as a bonus
on Downwinders you can get pretty dizzy hitting the water at speed. Kiting near rocks - why not? Go for it

That is usually what you want a helmet to do, as it has adsorbed as much energy as possible and minimised the harm to your brain.

Yeah, basically feel my Gath is a little light on in padding...... not much there really. Mine's pretty old circa 7 years I think........

The designs for water impact can get away with a much softer foam, the main thing IMO is to get a low profile one, big ones tend to give you a larger profile so your head doesn't break through the surface of the water as easily.

I've been using a brand called high testosterone
It causes premature hair loss
Looks like you've got a helmet on
But feels great with the wind blowing through my skin
