Was down in Mandurah for work yesterday morning and was fantasizing about kiting Doddi's point just up from The Done. Think the wind was Nor West and the set waves looked kinda shredable. I know it's no One Eye but was wondering if anyone had info or experience kiting it.

its quite shallow out there. lots of reef & boondies just under the surface to leave their signature on your board & bod. thats why a lot of people give it a miss.

^ Depends on the tide and how close you are to shore. On a big swell the waves break out toward the channel marker and there's plenty of water out there. Rocks are mostly near shore, out at the point.

Having said that they're not great waves even at their best, when they're mostly just big shifty mush without much wall. A novelty wave or an act of desperation on a N or NW with a big swell.
