Hi, I am new to kitesurfing...
Spent too much money on a Ozone instinct and harness, I only need a board to start.

So I saw a 45 dollar water ski....could I go upwind and perform well with one of those?

Its very slim and long, and has one fin at the bottom of the ski.

Has anyone ever tried with this? Kiteboards cost no less than 400...big difference for a young boy like me.

Please throw some light to this

give it a go.. if that dosent work. try stapling some mcdonalds trays to some sneakers, but u have to be smooth when going upwind otherwise all ur fries will fall off

This has been discussed before. Apparently it's where it all started. Do a search.

Mate, if this is serious then you should go see your local shop. There are plenty of cheap boards around.

Someone will have an old stonker board in their shed which is worth about a carton of beer.

You should have bought this:

all jokes aside i did give the water ski's ago a while go and did manage a down wind run which was cool but on the other hand have seen norts rip it on a single ski behind a kite and it looked sick biggest roost ever.

If ever you wanted to twist both knees and tear yourself a new asshool, that's the way right there....

I love that kite, looks like a busted footy with those struts placed randomly about the place.
Still, they laughed at the mono-ski.....

MUAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA Man I wonder who brought that custom made prototype beast that was sold on ebay. That guy should definately work for the marketing team promoting the tourch relay in tibet.
