Hi my name is Mike,
I have booked flights to Taiwan and I'm kitesurfing from June 01 - July 12. I've been all over the internet and I'm finding it really hard to get any information.
My first questions is the VISA letter. Does anyone know where/how I can get a VISA letter as my stay is greater than 30 days I need to get a VISA.
Second questions is, will the wind be good at this time? What size kites should I take? Where should I go? Previously I've been to Sri Lanka which was awesome wind 24 7. Hoping it to be like that.
Mike.
Anything info is GREATLY appreciated feeling nervous about my decision to travel here.
Thanks in advance :)
hi big boy (typing that felt weird)
last time i recall people asking about taiwan was in this thread
www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Kitesurfing/General/kite-trip-to-Penghu-Island-Tawain/?SearchTerms=taiwan
i think you are heading over the wrong time of year. typhoon season now. still, try getting in touch with eric down in kaohsiung as per my post in the other thread.
could still be a chance for more mild wind at penghu as well - although they are pretty low lying if a typhoon comes through!!
can't remember all the visa details sorry, i think i rocked up on a 30 dayer, and then sorted out a long term one once i got work sorted in country.
if you surf head over to taidong (taitung?) or jaileshui on the east coast, should be pumping through june.
enjoy
