Hi to all you Sunshine coast kiters .

I have a mate coming over from the USA in November and we want to get away to the sunny coast at the beginning of the month for 10 days or so.

Will the conditions for Noosa be good at this time of year and are there any local rules that we need to be aware of?

I generally fly a 11m turbo 22 with a 132 board at 80kg (generally gives me a range of 15 - 30 knots, my mate a 14m turbo 2 with a 142 board.

Any help/guidance you can give would be great

Hi Craig

The full code of conduct for Noosa is here:

Just been looking at some history and it looks like Noosa had about 15 kiteable days in November last year. Also there are miles of beach breaks to kite in at that time of year within a 10 to 20 min drive from Noosa. You need a NE wind to kite in the rivermouth at Noosa.

Your setup would be good for Sunshine Coast conditions - I have an 11m REV and 137cm TT.
