Hi Folks,

Anyone kited Port Pirie area in November? I am going there for the whole of November, not for leisure but i will have some days off. Is it worth taking the kite gear. Is there any wind @ all, 10kn + would do the trick as i have a 15m Speed to play in light breezes. And what does the coastline look like? Any Kite able Spots nearby?

Cheers

There's plenty of wind in the top of Spencer Gulf in November. Not sure about places to kite around Pirie though. You may do better posting in the SA section.

Plenty of wind. Port Germein just north of Pirie looks good; large shallow bay over hard packed sand. Quarter tide and up should be ok; otherwise it's a long walk out.

Thanks for the info. Looks like there are some good spots nearby and November is a windy month too. P.Germain looks good on the web. Thanks again.
