Dear Offri,

Due to Occupational Health & Safety Issues Kitesurfing is now banned on most Australian beaches.

We are currently experiencing macro climatic environmental changes causing the regional flora and flora to take siege upon the populous.

You are more than welcome to visit.

With Regards

WA is the only state in Aust with any wind and they always need more tourists to support their economy

when you land in Perth you should go straight to Fremantle, stay in a cheap backpackers hostel, go kiting at safety bay and woodman's point, also do a downwinder from Nelands to Trigg, at the same time you should be buying a four wheel drive so you can drive up north to Geraldton and Shark Bay

Hi offri
Wa has plenty of kiting along most of our coast
The further north the lesser the crowds the stronger the wind, generally 25 knts is the norm in the Midwest, with a handful of kiters, a 4x4 will get you to some remote spots, but there's plenty to access with a standard vehicule,
A 7/8 and a9/10 kite is standard for an average weight rider here
Weather and water temps are in the upper temps,
Enjoy our stunning kiting coastline
Lancelin
Jurien bay
Cervantes
Dongara and surrounds
Geraldton and surrounds
Coronation beach
Horrocks
Port Gregory
Shark bay
Carnarvon
Gnarloo
Coral bay
Exmouth
All these spots have free or low cost camps to decent accomadation, respect our coast and you'll be blessed with great conditions

Hi Offri,

The first thing you've got to do is learn to ignore a whole bunch of people that frequent this forum.

You can pretty much go anywhere and if you visit a local kite shop in the area you will get good solid advice and some suggestions for your trip planning.

As Cauncy said... WA is a good starting point mate, and there's enough space for all.

Enjoy.

FORGET Safety Bay!

Way too crowded these days. I counted roughly 70 kiters out yesterday crammed into a football field size spot. You spend the whole session avoiding each other. Mostly kooks, learners and wannabee losers. Everyone is so up their own asses there. Not a friendly vibe at all.

Sand bank is growing too high now as well. So much vegetation. I reckon its up to 3-4 metres high in spots. Really affecting the quality of the wind.

Gusty as fark and not worth the hassle. Overrated.

If you end up in WA. First thing to do is drive out of Perth.

As lost dog said, go anywhere in OZ!
Ask for advice on the beach and in the shops. Follow the local rules and leave room to the swimmers and flags of the clubbies!
Don't ##ck it up for the locals! You leave and they have to deal with the aftermath.
Victoria also has some very good spots on offer.....without any OHS issues!!!!!

I can only be very grateful for the dunes growing by the minute. Eventually all the kite masturbation will have an end and we can have the place for ourselves again. Those who know how to wakeboard will go / continue to go to the nearby wake park. All other tossers who try to impress themselves but actually do nothing but riding up and down with an angry face clearly not enjoying what they are doing and pissing off everyone else. Throwing some low level boring to watch so called trick, please, just go away and find some other trendy waste of time. Why is everyone trying to look alike and attempt the same move? Join the army then maybe

Hahahahahahahahahahaha its becoming fkn a joke down there and there are some people to blame for it.

Sadly it’s all about $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

The pond has reached critical mass thanks to kitesurfing businesses attracting endless kooks by means of advertising the location, bulk lessons and filling as much local short term accommodation as possible to euros while taking a cut.

You can also thank a couple of Perth photographers (one in particular) who actively try to bring pros here every season. Just so they can toss over them and take some photos to sell. Again, it’s all about making a buck and in turn advertising the location through Facebook and Instagram.

The location is being milked for $$$ and the locals down there are ultimately the ones who pay for it. Nothing at all being given back. I’ve listened in to numerous conversations down there and trust me the locals are not happy.

I actually feel a bit for them................ Not really
