Hmm, I've been toying with the idea of a surf trip to the Solomon's end of the year. What sort of kiting are you expect Pattiecannon, in the waves or flatwater? I wonder if the wind is the right direction for the waves this time of year...?

Thanks Nige ??

Apparently a short boat ride away is a break Kelly surfs. Hopefully this wind will be a nice angle for this.
Anyone interested, pm me and I'll group you in the messenger posts.

Hey all, I am based in Honiara and have been scouting kiting locations here for the last three months (I am about 7years into kiting, prefer waves to flat). Keen to hook up with any kiters coming through- can do weekend missions out- and have some spots around Honiara that can also work while you're in transit (not recommended as a kiting destination, but you can kite). Wind is up at the moment, although it can be light. Finding places to launch and land with clean air, easy access and no issues with local people can be a hassle. Do recommend going through a resort or engaging a local guide as a must. I will be doing lots of exploring over the next few years, and will post about what I find.
