Crew,

it's hot and steamy in Dongara at the moment. Off shore winds in the mornings = SUP time & the swell (3-4' on Leander Reef) has been fairly consistent the past couple of days.

As a heads up for everyone coming up today, there is currently a bushfire south and inland from Dongara, apparently near Mt Adams. We are advised it is no threat to the town but there may be smoke across Brand H'way & possibly also Indian Ocean Drive as you approach Dongara so please drive appropriately.

The forecast is "interesting" but not yet "challenging"....no matter what, it's going to be a great long weekend to catch up with crew and make new friends.

See you all tomorrow. Rego's start from 9.30am. Fun starts when you get here.

Reasonable winds this afternoon from 3pm - easy 14 -17 knots making it nice to be able to say a dozen crew got out on the water this afternoon....

Looking forward to catching up with crew tomorrow - for everyone driving up, please be aware bush fire is still burning & smoke is providing a hazard on the last 30kms into Dongara.

See you all tomorrow.

Further to previous advice about the bush fire in the Dongara area, if you are driving up to Kitestock early Thursday am, please be aware that there have been road closures & detours in operation today (Wed 25th Jan).

Please refer to the FESA Website www.fesa.wa.gov.au for specific advice.
