As some of you may well know filming a legit edit can be frustrating, filming a legit kiteskate edit is even worse. The plan was to make a solid vid with lots of new tricks that haven't been put down behind a kite before, in the end however I just decided it was easier and more fun to goof around. So, here you go, a vid with some stupid stuff and a few kite NBD's added in for good measure. Get skating.
Big shout out to Barracuda for the skate! I've been riding this same thing the last 4 years as I still haven't found a better one haha
Conditions were: overpowered on a 12m Ozone C4 first day (aftenoon light), and overpowered on an 8m C4 the next day (midday light).
Filmers: Ewan Jaspan (Afternoon light), Karolina Winkowska (midday light). Cheers for helping guys.

Although I have no idea what trickery that was I have to admit it was entertaining to see something unique. I see how all these things you're doing cross-over in a way, quite interesting really, why aren't there more people doing this?
That was dope man! Nice beats n some sweet moves dude! Need to get meself a wake skate me thinks lol looks fun as ![]()
Can you please wear a clown hat when you arent being serious cos it gets hard to tell whats the silly bits and what needs scoring. I gave a 9 to one move and the missus laughed at me saying it was a prank.
Great flick Rowdy......so hard to get the power and skate dialed in....what you do is really cool given how little you do it. I've got one of those boards and will have to give it a go again
Beats mowing the lawn.
awesome pop shuv 3s inspired to undust my plank although the last time i took it out in the waves, after approx 90 second (getting out back), fell off and i lost it for half an hour as it sinks below the surface with no clue of where it is..
haha, cheers guys!
Waves are actually the best place to ride a skate, so much more scope for activities! Although a bit of flat water is good to dial in some tricks.
p.s. I was totally serious the whole time
.
fun little vid, great to watch, and good to see those pesky bar ends didn't cause any problems for the tricks:)
Not this time haha, although my bar is so small that it's not as dangerous of a situation if it did happen.
Yes I have. They are good wakeskates, ride smooth and pop good. Wouldn't be real good behind a kite though, most are too small and almost all have too much rocker for most peoples tastes.
Rowdy- what size board do you generally ride. It seem that you have to be pretty powdered up or is that incorrect?
Nice vid by the way.
This Board is 116cm by 41cm but it's actually on the large side of what I really need, next board I want a 112cm by 40 or 41cm. With this board you don't have to be that powered I can go and do tricks in less wind than I could ride my boots board in. With an actual wakeskate you have to be quite powered.
Sorry stewbucket. I commented while logged in on your pad. Rowdy that was crag comment ( the highly humourous one above in case you are confused)
Hiro forgot to wear hat one day... sadly made ruin vid. Hiro will be try harder next time thank you sir.
Glorious spot, it's great that it's so far up the coast that it makes it fairly un-crowded.
Lad, its in South OZ, just spent 3 weeks down there.
Just 40 minutes south of Adelaide on the coast ”the Mid” has several top spots between Southport and Moana to ride super silky flat water ingood winds. These spots work best anytime in winter when the strong northerlies blow or in the southerlies during summer.
And best of all... no kite loops or mega loops were evident or necessary in the making of that video. Very cool.
