I strongly object to Dimitri Marmalade being referred to as a professional rider. I bring to the podium 2 pieces of evidence.

Item A- 2007.airush.com/download/07_catalogue/37_38_t3.html

Item B- 2007.airush.com/download/07_catalogue/33_34_x_pact.html

Spot what is wrong in each picture.

I hereby move to prosecute Dimitri Marmalade on 2 counts of commiting "posing".

you have no idea how long i hunted for the post we did a while back on this haha

as to saffer: jumping off a ship with permission, raileying over a tree, and jumping a piece of land that the company sleazy works for pretty much owns is COMPLETELY different than jumping a building, with people on and around it that the tool doesnt own.

i second the vote for charging damitri for 2nd degree charge of POSING!!

It would have been way funnier if it was surfingboye getting slammed into the side of a house.
The thing is, he'd need to go kiting for that to happen. That could never happen to a full time forum troll.

wot? nah,the only kite ive flown is a mates trainer. i windsurf.

You said he was a "pioneer" and "brought stuff to the sport"..... what?..... I don't remeber him being around in the early days and influencing anyone, or pushing the sport. Where did you get this idea anyway?

Lou was talented but not inventive, he started and lead the whole cross over between wake and kite style tricks. He didn't invent the tricks however.

Shannon Best is actually the reason people do "load and pop" (wakestyle) style tricks, before he could kite he saw the sport had potential and told Lou and the maui crew that instead of sending their kites back in time like a fairy to do tricks they could actually leave the kite in the one spot and load against it...... thus "air" tricks were born.
Not only that but Shannon Best actually invented a few tricks himself in the early days of wakeboarding, one of those tricks being the "S-Bend" (shannon bend).... He later brought that and a number of other tricks to the kite. (also one of the few people to ever do a legit pete rose behind a kite)

And mr unposer also doctored photos to make his kites looks more impressive by photoshopping Best kites into pictures to replace foil kites...you were saying about posing??? Or for producing the biggest kiteboarding poser of a kite in history, the hellfish, which only looked good on a shelf...

How about jumping a house with permission? You did notice the people inside the house were part of the film crew doing the stunt or did you forget that? And do you know for a fact that slezy actually owns the island? I'm pretty sure he doesn't...

Or does jumping a house only count if you do it unhooked with bindings?

So how exactly is it posing when you're sponsored to do something? When was the last time you were paid to ride?

Saff if you believe he didn't want that released then you must be a Scientologist mate..

Not an issue of releasing the vid so much as stoopidity pulling the stunt with or without a camera present.

No need to get personal either Saff, you kn *$#^* *$@*&*!!! (joking here -so r e l a x )

Now remember I actually own a couple of this tool's kites so am not trying to gain leverage for my brand etc etc. Still, having tried to extract a simple pdf for the excellent eclipse kites (on multiple occasions - with no response whatso-ever) it is clear to me that he and who-ever manages the company, wear velcro shoes and dribble a fair bit.

BTW I have had no probs with the kites - just wanted a user's manual that any other company would ship with the kite.

Getfunky, what year manual do you need, I have 07 and 08 PDF that I can email to you.

There are two guys at the helm of the company, Dimitri the front man - tests and develops the products. Cousins runs the business side of things.

I agree, Dimitri can be a poser, look at these pics of him posing for the camera.
Some of his stunts are reckless for sure, but they are impressive ... at least to me.

i didnt say for a fact they own it, just their business is built around the area etc. PRETTY MUCH DOES NOT MEAN YES THEY DO OWN IT!

once again difference between house vs island vs tree : hit island / tree nothing is hurt but you. especially with no one on said island or in said tree.

hitting a house can injure you (no one would give a flying f*ck anyway), other people around said building aswell as damage the property. oh and posting wreckless crap like that will damage the sport as it doesnt matter what the context of the events are, when authority views it they not going to take the context into consideration.

i vote dimitri for king! please teach me how to fake for a camera

Clearly you missed the part where they hired the house and the only people on the house were the film crew or do you think the film crew just randomly broke into the house to get access to it when they did the filming.

Clearly the only people who could have been injured on the house would have been the film crew. Obviously by your statements about no one being at risk on the island, the house had a film crew and the island didn't? How exactly did they film the island jump? Through the video filming version of emaculate conception? In your haste to give all danglers and everything that is not wakestyle ****, you may also have noticed a couple of boats in the landing area of the LF video? Isn't that a little dangerous as risky as well or does it only qualify as risky if the person in question doing the jumping is a dangler and not wearing bindings?

Do you honestly think the authorities would take stunt footage as proof that a sport should be banned? If that was the case, wouldn't motorcycles and cars be at risk with all the people doing stunts jumping through fire hoops, over houses and gap jumping 15 cars?

Finally got the pdf thanks Sburlo - through the retailer - who I should have clarified has been great the whole time. It is the company and their excuse for management/website/info/replies (I could go on).

Geez there seems to be no lack of evidance that Dim-wit-ri is a schlong of the highest order here.

Still I make a post about Ian Young, who might not be evrybody's cup of Darjeeling, but has on record performed rescues for kiters and non-kiters as well and I get red thumbed??? WTF?? Can some red thumbers even read??

Some of you 'star lovers' need to wake up. If it's pointy, got veins, throws stoopid stunts and answers to the name of Dim-wit-ri then it is a kn0b!!

I reckon he is more prone to cunning stunts and less to stunning ****s.

Clearly you missed the bit where he was throwing stoopid sh!t moves again and again next to fek orf big pointy steel sh!t???

Did anyone notice he had fek all depower when the bar was released also? Real smart - lucky he didn't get minced (literally) through the railing.

Play with fire and you get biatch-slapped - end of story.

Red thumb away BTW - I am actually looking at as a compliment from those that think Dim-wit-ri has no case to answer - as they are either colourblind, too dumb to breathe, or vote for Miss Piggy at every election.
