hey just wondering who has tried kiteloops with really short lines and the effects compared to 20-23m lines.
anything to look out for?

I think I use 19m- from 24m. It's fine when you hit a kicker, but it's difficult to get serious height on flat water.

I use 17m lines on a 7m for a bit of fun, turning in turbo mode, very fast kiteloops, can still get height but come down faster. Nice for something a bit different. 21m+ lines is like slow motion after 17m lines

cool thanks guys.
i guess im driving at the CORE team riders who have the stupidly short lines.
the loops look very aggressive.

I've tried it heaps. In the end 20m probably loops the best but you have to be super lit or the kite will sometimes do a wider arc and not catch you. If you're powered (almost can't pull the bar in) then you'll get the kite under you during the loop and it'll catch you. Safest loops are on 22-23m lines I think. I'm talking strictly about megas though not safety loops in lightish wind.

Correct me if im wrong,

Probably looks aggressive as he's unhooked.

Looping unhooked wil have more impact that shot lines will.

Might stick to the 20ish meter lines for now.
The loops with super short lines look so sik tho.
