Opinions please on the best travel bag for 2 tt's, a couple of kites and kiting stuff.
Airline friendly as well as wheels, like the golf bags thanks.

ION Core Gearbag is pretty good. Holds a lot of gear and easy drag from your shoulder.

Pretty cheap as well.

I had two 5'3" surfboards and TT plus a few kites tucked inside.

Johnny,

i bought an 150 NP golf bag from a local retailer here in WA. First use, day trip with two boards, 2 kites, bar and harness) the handle tore on one side of bag. Took it back and they wouldn't replace. Instead of replacing they took to get reinforcing on the handles. Smiled at me and said that they had provided feedback to NP. Second trip was 2 week international trip. On last day packing to come home zip failed. Only took it in today to upholstery place. He said zip was poor quality, especially for a long zip that goes around corners. Getting it replaced for $50 plus some more reinforcing on the weak points. Obviously I don't recommend the NP Golf Wheeled.

On on the other hand, I have a flying objects 140cm wheeled that is the bomb. Used it for 5-6 trips. 4 domestic and two international. My partner uses it now cause my light wind board is a 150. She's also done two trips with it. Rock solid construction, thick padding, bulletproof zip. Highly recommend.
I emailed Flying objects only just last week to see if they'd do a 150 (cause the NP needed repairs) but sadly they couldn't do it. Not enough demand for that size.

All up mate, spend the money, make sure the reinforcing is in the right places that padding is thick enough and zip looks solid.

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with Flying Oblects and am not bagging all NP products. I have other NP items that are good quality, just the golf bag is/was pretty poor.

Simon.

Good question.

I use this...

The Mystic bags are very shmick and durable. I have an older version since 2011 and it's still working, going strong. The only issue are the zips, but this is a common problem. I've had some sieze on me. After I managed to get them moving again I applied a little bit of bicycle grease into the zipper itself and they've been working perfectly for over a year now.

I'll second what simstat said I got the same bag last year and had the zip fail and webbing unravel around the edges within a week of light resort kiting use. I was pretty sad as they're not cheap bags.
Something to consider when buying: get a bag with a shoulder strap maybe even at the expense of wheels as it will be lighter and easier to get up stairs and around narrow hotel paths/lawns.
Same deal not trying to bag out Np, they have a good reputation which is why I bought it in the first place.

Ion golf are great 1/3 is 145cm and will take easily 1 board and 3 kites+stuff or 2/3 is 1.65 and will take 2 boards and 3 kites ++, both have wheels and look great. Their Core Gear bag is a more basic wheelie bag just as strong for a lower price.
I've hammered a NP golf 150 over a dozen or so trips and its still going. Airlines are rough on big bags, and packing them is a bit of an art too, need to tip them on their side when closing zips so that weight it not on the zipper head. The zipper on any bag is not designed to work under high side loads.
