Are there any regular kite surfers around Albury/Wodonga who use Lake Hume? If so I'd like to know best areas to go when winds are up, that are safe for launching.

Hi, I'd be keen to give Lake Hume a try. I was at Great Aussie resort a few weeks back. It has a relatively long obstruction free bank to launch from.

This topic has been done before, try a search, to the best of my knowledge I think north of Bethanga Bridge with general prevailing winds this time of year is the place to go, you can launch from Vic or NSW depending on daily direction. What is the water level at the moment? I ask this as you may well know there are still bulk amounts of submerged trees after all these years and although appear soft at the top, would be most unpleasant to land upon. If it's full your laughing. If she's low take care.
Would love to hear some feedback if you do it cause it's a massive area and possibly one of the most amazing flat water spots on the planet (winds prevailing) with all the natural spits and washout areas. And Hey, if it aint working throw a line in with a worm on it and grab a nice feed of Reddies.
