Hey,

Heading down to Albany tomorrow and was wondering is there are any good spots near Middleton Beach, from memory the beach has alot of nasty shells etc just waiting to put a hole in your leading edge?

Where is the local spots don't want to travel to far.....and whats the best site to check local wind etc....in the area?

Thanks.....

the best spot to check for local wind is the top of Mt Melville and the shells at Mids come and go, rig up away from the water where the sand is deeper. Technically you don't want to go to Middleton beach but what the locals call 'surfers' which is on the other end of the caravan park.

Shoal bay or if your feeling keen, rushie point work, goode beach is like mids too but 30mins drive.

Thanks Sandman,

Yeah that was where I was thinking of going, just the otherside of the Caravan Park about 300- 400m down towards the golf club? Actually looking at Map I guess you would want to get more oposite the golf club to get away from the caravan park and swimmers, although technically the swimming beach is opposite the surf club?

Any idea what kind of wind can be expected I would think you would get some heavy wind coming in from out at sea?

I only have a 10m?
