Hi All

Unfortunately gave my North 10 m Fuse a bit of a belting yesterday : ( , rip goes right up to the leading edge strut.

Can anyone give me the details of a local repair shop who doesn't charge like a wounded bull ? What kind of price do you think I'm looking at?

I live on the Gold Coast - Cheers !

Sam

What ever quote you get, it should not be any more than $120-$150 to repair. Motti Levy is probably your best bet

Did a similar thing to my kite but on both sides of the kite when I was in Noosa. It was sent to Moti and he did a great job and colour matched the material. I think it was about $350 so should be about half minus shipping as it was sent to gold coast then had to be sent to Vic after it was fixed.

I would also check over the entire kite before you send as I missed that the connection points for the steering lines had also torn when it got smashed by the waves.

I'll give YOU 1 of a few examples of what you'll be in for if you take loftys advice..

You get your kite back 2 weeks later after tracking the parcel and getting nothing but the royal muck around, then it arrives minus your kite bag only to be told and reassured that you never sent your kite in the bag.. then missing parts for your connection to the struts from the main bladders only to be told that we'll send it only to receive an empty envelope then only to be told again after reviewing a docket book invoice after three weeks that it's in the post to be without my duck in stuff.. duck that tourist. Should be in the wa section. ****s on YOU and wants your money first, hot air to follow . Go with a trusted sailmaker

Iv been going for 4 years as a buisness lofty, and do all of BWSurfs Kites for their schools for awhile now. So for me personally, this isnt "now". I Take my repairs very seriously, and want to help service the community I care alot about. Iv spent alot of time including my time in uni studying design Engineering furthering my understanding of kitesurfing kites. Im sure there are a few hacks out there but Im am not. Thanks guys! See you around

Adam is a great guy and knows his stuff - I have a great repairer in Sydney but if I lived up there that's where I would get my kites repaired 100%.
