Hi,

I will be on Hamilton Island in one week and have just seen that the wind is awesome! Does anbody know if (and where) there is a shop or kite station that has rental kites?
I am comming from Germany, the extra charge for a kite bag is much to expensive.
So rental is my only chance.

Cheers
Chris

Nothing on Hamilton Island, best bet is the mainland prior to arrival on the island.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I am doing a round trip, so a rental on the mainland would be difficult.

Well, looks like I have to go snorkeling instead ;)

There was a thread back a week or so ago with a bit of info about the whitsundays
Not the ideal spot to kite anyway and most of hamilton island is rocky shore and the main beach is on the lee of the island with the normal tradewinds this time of year, Hire a golf buggy instead

There is a builder on the island and I think there is still a guy from sunsail that kites

I was there a few years ago. Can't kite in the main channel due to the sea plane landing. Don't think there are rentals on the island either.
