Lancelin Ocean Classic Kite Jam!!
For the first time ever Kite Surfing will feature in the Lancelin Ocean Classic!!!
This is the 2nd Kite surfing competition over the 4 days of the Lancelin Ocean Classic... KITE JAM, this freestyle competition will see sailors compete in an event which will include obstacles, big airs and all the excitement of a freestyle event. The heats will take place on 11th Jan at the end of Hopkins St near the search and rescue in Lancelin and those who impress the judges will go onto the finals held Saturday 12th Jan.
Kite Jam is open to all those sailors who are over 18, have 3 years experience and who are a member of AKSA or WAKSA.

The wind in there is unstable and not suitable for kites unless you are looking to be at least 100 metres offshore? likewise launching and landing off the beach between Werner and the jetty is not ideal for the same reason.
