Hey all, does anyone know where I can hire a kite in Newcastle NSW, I have experience but my kites getting a little old and I don't have the cash to upgrade. Any advice appreciated.
2nd hand kites are not expensive. You can have a good Rally2 for $550 complete, or a good Octane2 for $250 kite only. Sorry, but it doesn't sound like a safe bet to be hiring out to you.
Not sure if troll but you could grab some demo gear a couple of times? Search the buy and sell for something cheap?
It's not a long term proposition to hire, surely hire would be $50 a day and quite easily add up to second hand kit. I still run a Rally and it's fine, it's safe and not as good as my newer kites but I used it a couple of weeks back and is safe. I'd be lucky to get $300 for it I reckon.
Check Kite and Sup at Warners bay for second hand stock and great advice.
I just checked the buy and sell, plenty around although most Sydney way which is a cheap train ride for the right kite if money's tight. I had to laugh when I saw the BWS kite there though "This kite sells for $1795 AUD - be quick and you can have this kite for $1695 plus a free BWSurf AEneema T- Shirt. ".. bargain! haha
