Hey guys n girls
leading edge bladder split about 300mm today, as well as the seam on the leading edge of the kite a little longer
. I'll be getting the seam done professionally but is there any way to repair the bladder, or is it better off just getting a new one put in when they re-stitch the kite? And how much would a bladder cost (9m cabrinha crossbow). The bladder has split along it's join in material, so guessing it'll be a hard one.
On that note, i did buy the kite second hand amount two months ago, it is a 2009 kite and it had two small spots on the leading edge stitching right down near the outside struts that needed to be re-done, and i've had about 6 days out with the kite (learning, so it's had a few crashes) and today the leading edge went.... This has made me question the build quality of these kites. Am i right, or is it just bad luck? Note, the kite was in pretty good condition when i bought it.
Cheers
Drew
This stuff should do the job-

Just put it down to learning, the kite should last you a while yet, then once you know what you are doing you won't be quite as hard on your next ones.
Wont touch on the build of the kite, but blow outs can happen if they hit the water just right.
You can buy a product called 'tear aid' that is great for fixing bladders. It comes in a roll of a few feet. If your careful and its a clean blow out along the seam you should be sweet.
Not sure what side of town your on, but I know Airborne has got it.
You can use it on the canopy as well. It is good stuff to have in the shed.
Give the whole lot to Neil at Hold the Lines and he will sort it for you
