Firstly it wasn't a kiteloop contest and secondly winning it one year doesn't = dominance... what happened to them last year?

Megaloops seemed to be pretty important in the judging criteria...

Sorry, didn't have my Mr. Serious McSerious hat on... I have no proof at all.

Tom Herbert got worked on 25m jump. Maybe Evo not best looping kite?

Fantastic event to watch, good job to all concerned. At least Evo was represented. Disapointed at Ozone no show, what no team rider with a big pair nuts or are we lacking in boosty free ride kite to take the big boys on in this arena. Ozone a missed opportunity ,at least my opinion. Ozone ok for normal kiting though.

Too busy flying edges on flat water to take a megaloop comp seriously.

Hmmm interesting megalooping edge in king off air, probably a suicide attempt.

Blokes on race boards and 45cm fins need not apply.

I'm sure the river will be pumping that day.

I agree with Kamakazi, top 3 places being clog/tulip/windmill heads is pretty impressive.
They have cold and crap conditions pretty much in polder land so hats off to them for me.

Sir rowdy who do you admire in the big air arena?

Mega loop comps need 30 plus knots ....Lets hope for a there is some nuking wind at kite stock an lets turn that big air comp on its head and get the truck up sidedown and loop!...how about sharkbay this week its going t be nuking!!!!!!!!....Its going to blowing it s bazzookas off!!!!!

I did the down winder at KS last year and missed the comp ,but I would have had to pull out the 13 edge to to compete with me being 83 pies! .The thursday before the kite stock weekend 2013 I was banging some reasonable airtime on my vegas 10m and thinking of mega looping at 25 to 29 knots of gusty wind. 30 to 35 megaloopknots on 7's and 8's would be a headliner for kite stock!.
The first and second week of feb seems to be the best time to have a mega loop event.....finger crossed!

The resurgence of 'King of the air' is certainly a inspiration!.....the mega loop is for the worlds best and only those who dare to push the limits will fly like they have never thought before .
Its bound for the olympic status ...it will certainly happen!

He said "big air" not "wig hair" .

Hadlow kills everyone... Kiteloop 30ft up, unhooks and pulls a KGB, I would like to see any of the top 3 pull that, or anyone else for that matter. Kevin does boost pretty massive but I wouldn't exactly say it's something I "admire" or think is hard to do... I would say Tom Hebert is probably one of the best if not the best rider in the world at "old school" tricks, he's got that stuff dialled far beyond the top 3 for KOTA.

The real problem though is boosting big and doing a board-off cann't really be in the same comp as pulling a big kiteloop in the format they did it, it would be like trying to compare a powered unhooked trick with a high board-off...

Tom is an awesome rider, always puts on a great show. He actually took out the Cocos Islands King of the Chair last year.
