I've got 2 baby girls, and naturally as a father I'll feel that I've failed if they don't take an interest in kitesurfing.
So I trawled the web for kids kite surf books I could add into their book time and found nothing.
Not letting a minor hiccup stand in my way I wrote my own kid's book, but it's not all that good and I haven't illustrated it yet.
Has anybody found any decent books I can read my baby girls

The surfing animals alphabet book by Jonas Claesson is worth checking out. All the animals of the alphabet ripping it up. Full of surf culture and epic illustrations of tube riding tigers etc to inspire your future little rippers.

If you have a copy of "where's that green sheep", there is a page for the "wind sheep" and a page for the "wave sheep". I just drew in a harness and lines to the wind sheep's kite from the wave sheep, and made a "kite sheep".

Thats probably a bit of a weird sentence if you don't have kids. If you're in Perth, Yelo cafe has a few surf-related kids books, including the surfing animals.

Definitely need some kids books that revolve around kiting. There is a window of opportunity/market out there for someone to hit.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I ended up using the sketch app on my phone to illustrate the book and got it printed by snapfish. Only cost 20 bucks.
My kids love it.

Awesome DIY!! I'm always inspired by the can-do creativity of the kiting community!

Physcojoe, that's quite a handle you have there. These days medication can settle down phycopathic thoughts or even just drink chamomile tea.

Regarding your books appropriate to kitesurfers...
Here you go.. these should be relevant to some kitesurfers I have met around the traps. They seems to mostly come from Western Australia.
