Must have been every Kiter in Sydney at Kernel today. Had a terrific session on my TRX 10m including tacking up to Towra and tearing around in just a few inches of water...
About 3 ish was getting in hi 20's knots so headed back to the groins

So happy to get out in the water with sunny weather and decent winds. Not the only one, must have been 60 kiters out.

Left around 3 pm.

So what happens at 4pm with that 46 knot gust? Everyone OK?

Anyone get some good photos?

Everyone on my Facebook feeds reckons it was epic so it doesn't sound like there were any mishaps. Surely everyone would have packed down before the squall hit.

Oh and it's Kurnell. Kernel is a part of an operating system.

I was out when it hit pretty exciting. One guy got on a bit of strife, safety line snapped and swam in ok. Kite ended up at the wharf and not sure what happened from there.

Hi angry k hope your doing fab. I did not see you there. I was on the 9m blue trx with 4 others when the wind turned off shore gusting to 45 knots. Tacked in and landed. The guy on the 5m cabrenah could not make it in and lost his kite. It went through under the jetty and finished safely on the rocks. everyone got in safe which is always a good thing. I saw a helicopter and 2 ambulance heading to kernel as I left. I think that was a false alarm. Any one have info?
