A simple but effective suction filter to keep your kite bladder free from sand. 32mm Heavy Duty electrical conduit just happens to fit perfectly over the new Slingshot pump intakes. It may have to be packed out a bit with other/older pumps as they could be smaller diameter. Then trim up a bit of say 25mm foam, pop it in the hole & Bruce's your uncle. That other bit is 10mm ID spagetti just taped in place, perfect fit to plug your loose end into to keep it from flailing about. Any feedback would be welcome.

Cheers

You might struggle with pumping as the orange part sticking out will suck your boardies/shirt into it which jams your pump.

But sand in your bladder doesn't even matter....

Sand in the bladder matters big time ! Those nasty little grains of grit work their way into the corners of the bladder, and over time, rub a nice little hole ready to deflate the leading edge.

Keep the sand out!

Yeah, I thought sand was always an issue. But more in the space between the leading edge/bladder and the canopy. How do you get sand out of the bladder itself, even using something like this seems to be pretty tricky
