Hey guys,
Been awhile since my last post, but thought you might might like to check out my latest clip from this past Winter in Hawaii. It was a bit of a weird winter over here, but scored a few amazing days throughout the season with my girl. Hope you like it!
Cheers,
Keahi

Greater stuff Keahi,
You have come along way since the first time I watched you ride. Young curly head kid at Point Henry near Geelong many moons ago.
Great ambassador for the sport!!!
Good bit of riding by your partner as well!! What's her name and how long has she been riding?

Moona Whyte, but I didn't think Keahi was from Melbs or Geelong.

Thanks for the kind words! Haha definitely come a long way since then. Her name is Moona Whyte. She grew up here in Hawaii and also been kiting and surfing since a very young age so she's pretty comfortable in the bigger stuff
Brilliant stuff Keahi! Wishing I had a portion of Moona's skills...... they're some sizeable waves. Wondering what size boards you ride in those conditions? Thruster or Quad?
You've come a long since the flat water at Golden Beach ![]()

Haha, thanks! In the bigger surf, I'm riding a the Cabrinha 5'9 S-Quad which is a quad you can probably gather from the name. Although its, not that long, the pulled in tail and step rails tend to help a lot with control in bigger surf. I find the quad is also pretty nice as it generates a lot of speed and holds well when its on rail.
Definitely a little different conditions over here in Hawaii, but those were some fun days back then too!
What's Felix Pivec doing nowadays, just videoing??
Actually Felix is still super into kiting these days and really into surf foiling now as well. We still kite together a bunch over here
Man, that is a crazy amount of solid clips from a mostly funky winter for kiting... I don't think anyone who hasn't sailed yards can really appreciate the heaviness of this edit, that spot can be terrifying! (Scotty drug me out there this year, wind died, paddled in at Kammies with not much of a kite left.) Good stuff!

Haha, yep. There might have been one day of decent wind in there, but there was a couple terrible ones in there too. Keeps the crowds down at least. Was doing a lot of body dragging and waiting for the odd puff off wind the one day, but at least in meant the waves were super glassy haha. It's amazing what you can make work when you're content with possibly having a swim in through Sunset. Somehow I managed to avoid that this Winter though.

Your clips look surreal with perfect conditions & some great tunes but I bet there's a lot of hard work to get those shots.
Keep them coming Keahi, especially the ones when you dont quite make it ![]()
