I'm teaching a client on his Kahoona Quiver and the bridals are continually catching on the wing tips once the kite hits the water.

Looking for a solution or suggestions

Cheers

Pete.

That's the problem with long bridals in surf. Some models of kite are really prone to it. I'm not familiar with this kite; but with most wingtip or line wraps; release your kite to one line. You can do this by pulling in a stack of one line or hitting your safety. (Then you will have to reload). Hold tension and wait. Trouble is they can catch on launch to.

learnt on a kahoona. yeah the bridle catching is a thing but not everytime - more like every 5th or 6th crash maybe. Think its to do with the pullies getting jammed - check em out and see if they are moving free. Also pump the kite up a bit harder which helps with the shape when in the water.

later bests had wing tip " deflectors" which seems to work (basically just a triangle block of foam that stops the line getting caught between tip and kite)

Never had this issue with the TSs with these deflector things.

might have to rig something up to do the same thing if the above doesnt work.
