Day after day of great wind, sun and fun....I need some days off already.
Happy New Year everyone.
Special thanks from me go to the 2 Gero boys who treated me to certainly the most thrilling session of 2010. Thanks heaps guys, can't wait to go out again in some sort of more normal conditions.
Also, kudos to WAKSA and all they have achieved in the past year already! The Wave Comp. rocked as did the RB race.
To all the boys and girls, have a great 2011 and let us be really considerate and content to do what we are so privileged to do day in day out, if our bodies can take it of course.
And I am in love with my new kite.....finally all my gear sorted and the stoke is back ![]()
I hear ya Nick. After a four hour straight session on the water yesterday, three hours the day before, I could hardly walk last night. I should take the day off today.......na stuff it 20 to 30 knots predicted today and I'm and addict still after almost 10 years kiteing.
As soon as the seabreeze comes in the back door I'm gone the car is packed see you on the water
It is tough living here. But worth every minute of achIng bones that a few cold beers won't cure. Back to work on Monday for a rest
I'm rooted!!!!
I had the week off and have got out for a few short kites but mainly concentrated on getting a few things done around home so I could head up to Lancelin/Wedge today for a few days without feeling guilty.
The swell and wind are forecast to pick up so I was going to kite myself silly for three days. ![]()
Well that was the plan until I got dumped shoulder first onto the sand at Floreat on a downwinder yesterday arvo and stuffed my shoulder.......not happy. ![]()
On a positive note though, although I still haven't managed to see a doc it doesn't seem as bad as I first thought, voltaren rapid and painkillers were helping and then something clicked in the shoulder joint and there was instant relief.
Agreed.
In heaven.
Santa delivered some sweet wind, and having some time of to enjoy has been awesome.
Thighs are burning from days of downwinders.
Gotta soak it up though, as next week is forecast for 4 DAYS IN A ROW OF 40 DEGREES! Never ever seen that before. ![]()
I've got a blister on my hand the size of a $0.20 coin. And yes, it's from kiting every day. Had a go on a SUP this morning too, really fun.
Got to agree, I welcomed the wind drop, although not anything to next saturday is too long.
After two days I can nearly get out of the chair without the back and legs in pain. nearly ready for some more..![]()
