Jellyfish at St Kilda

Anyone else noticed the jellyfish under the water at St Kilda? You can see them floating about a meter under the water. Anyone actually been stung by them?

Yeah been seeing them at port melbourne for about 3 weeks, sometimes really close to the surface... No stings, the same happened about this time last year, they were followed by smaller red ones. Wonder if they will come back this year too?

I've seen the jellys at S Melbs, but only when jumping, too choppy otherwise.

I think a kiwi got stunk a couple of weeks back, but could have been seaweed too...

Do the red ones pack a punch? Maybe dredging will mess it all up too...
