Just thought I'd throw it out there. Have been kiting on a surfboard recently and have found my rev can be a bit sluggish on the turn. Anyone have any ideas?
Cheers,
PK

I've been reading a review about Wainman kites and apparently the designer him self is a wave rider and he designs the kites for wave riding.

I haven't tried it before and I'm not a wave rider so all I'm talking about is nonsense but it's not a bad idea if you do some research about it

Anybody seen my can o' worms? Oh well I'll just open up a large bottle o' pimp juice and aggro argumentive crackers too.

Hint pathking: Under the blue tabs bar with Forums/Alerts etc do a search on 'wave kite' and be learned up real good.

tryed the rabit 9m nice kite, has a lot of tuning options to change it from more surf to frestyle noticed it handles gusts very well.

no.

There are many variety's of wave, wind direction and strength/gustyness

Not one is perfect in all conditions.

Half the battle is figuring out what kite with what adjustments works best in your wind conditions.

I like three strut kites. Wainman is one of them, there is also Ozone light, eclipse kima, LF envy, north evo? and all the rest. Try those out.

If I'm not sure what to buy for example for freestyle where should I ask?
Not all of us are targeting your pocket! I don't have anything for sale and I'm not a reseller, I'm just passing the information I got from another forum.

Idiot (It's wierd to title you like that, why did you chose such (l)user name?)
Kitestock is coming up with a lot of brands to try and lot of kiters to talk to. I wouldn't buy anything before that.

id back up what mr float said - low or medium AR with direct lines for steering, but Id also add it should be full profile throughout (including the wing tips) this will help you alot when you over run the wind window past the kite and leave it on the extreme edge. Tuck, lean forward, get spat out, look for kite, oh ****, Turn turn please turn now. the flat faster kites will head for the drink every time.

My fave is the GK Trix in this scenario. it always works.

I find Delta style kites suit me, what I like is the torquey/static combined with the pivotal turning leaving you able to adjust quikly to changes as they come..other cool things from these kites is fast relaunch in waves low end grunt meaning you can ride a smaller kite than normal...less kite equals more surfing...Just the power from the bar can allow you to adjust in situations like tube riding or take off speed or bottom turns etc.
The delta kites I have flown are bandits and airush lithiums...but others that look gr8 are core, best-kahuna, even rrd passion looks sik. I like to fly my kite more than park n ride and I am a bit bigger guy around 90kg...
Which leeds to another thing..kitesurfing as a bigger guy is an advantage allot of the time being able to use kite to deliver 90kg of beef thru the lip again and again...Hhahahahhaaaa (evil laugh)[}:)]

See if you can get a demo ride on the new Ozone Catalyst or C4?
I think the Catalyst will be better for pure wave riding for a lot of riders, its got that tight turning but with power, even when turned tight, but if the power comes on too much you can ease the bar out a bit and its easy to control how much pull is delivered, very impressed with the improvements to this 3 strut kite this year, gone is the fluttering and it has even better stability.
C4 in small sizes is lightening quick, and very quick in everything that I have tried in larger sizes (13/12/11/9), so good for rapid direction changes. Its also very stable, and has good power delivery in the turns, but less depower at the bar than the Catalyst and some hybrids and bows.

try adjusting the bar pressure on the back of the kite to the least amount of bar pressure setting it made my 11m rev 2 faster to turn with less bar movement??
