I was wondering if Griffin is still in business and if not whether I can bet a LE replacement bladder for my 17m TRX using another brand ?

I have had an order since the 8th of May and there has been no updates nor responses to my email requests for a progress update. Their site said there was plenty of bladders in stock.

Has anyone got any knowledge of their status ?

Don't be surprised if you get sent a used bladder. Its all right though, its only been used a couple of times.

And yes I'm being serious.

Griffin is still in business.
He's been taking care of personal stuff for awhile. Be patient he'll be back. Life happens, No matter how much you make plans, things just happen.

Griffin Kites are awesome. Half the price of the big brands and and the construction and designs are first-class. If you're in Geraldton and want to have a go of one of mine, to see for yourself, just let me know. And in case you're wondering, no, I don't make any money off them if you buy one.

Not sure about 1st class? My older (2014/15ish) chunky, grip peeling argo bar and strings didnt even come remotely close to matching the quality of my Core Sensor bar and lines

A maybach is 1st class, an AU falcon on gas, not so much.

Try the 2017 kites. As good as anything I've flown.

My 2013 7m Argo kite got weekly use here in 25-30 knots and was still going strong with no problems when I passed it on to a friend recently.

Over the years his bars have improved, but it took too long to catch up to what the market was doing. His kite designs however were and are excellent. I flew and tested the TRX for several years and that kite was sensational. I also had and Argo when I was first getting into the game. Reports of his new design which incorporates the Argo and TRx getting the best of both has been really good. The problem with Griffin has always been about communication with the owner/designer and being a very small brand he has to "do it all" which can be frustrating and sometimes hard to do business with. I have heard through the grapevine as well that he is going through some personal issues like we all do from time to time. Even though I don't fly his kites anymore, I would NEVER fault the designs of his kite and his effort to improve both design and quality and keeping the price down.

Chris is a standup guy. He doesn't live far from me so when I can't get through to him, I just pass over and he always makes time for me.
I can imagine that it's a bit harder tho if you don't live in Sydney.
His kites are great and I'm happy with the bars too.

I've given away a Slingshot and a Naish. It doesn't reflect on the brands, just that used kites have low value.

Hi all, FYI bladder was sent some weeks ago and the customer was notified and tracking number was provided to Vic, I think he is traveling at the moment, our support@ email did not get his inquiry for some reason.
