Just crap except for maybe on ice.
A small cheap rammed air kite on short lines will do the same and be more fun.
I tried one a few years ago down in Wollongong, the distributor is there. I really enjoyed it. I personal feel that it works well with a skate board as the riding position is more vertical and you have better control of the board.I find that with a kite you are leaning to far back and can't turn down wind, my ankles are not that flexible. I don't think the water version would be that good though. To hard to get going in deep water. Rich Stening wrote a review for Australia kiteboarder have a look if you can find it. They are not cheap but good for land based sports
Ive got an Fone ATX ram air, good fun on light wind days
Just thought this would be a little different
This first came out in the mid eighties and I actually tried it at North Glenelg in Adelaide. It was fun, but it was easy to crunch your arm between the mast and wing, so I stuck to windsurfing!http://www.wingsurferforum.co.uk/forum_posts.asp?TID=798
this a cheaper and more portible way to do the same thing..
What a great idea.
I just though of an idea that it'd be better if you attach string to the wing so you can get more lift and torque.
Or has that been done already?
