Anybody used either of these totally different things?

xtremebigair.com/AXIS-Foilboard-Freeride-2015-P1733.aspx

xtremebigair.com/Newind-Split-surf-board-P1468.aspx

I'm quite liking the split surfboard concept for travelling...

(Update - A bit more googling, and it turns out you can have it all.. split surfboard/hydrofoil....)

They wouldn't even let us in the shop to have a look!

Wow that got off topic quick :). I have a split twinnie - 160cm in length and it's great for travel. As far as I can tell it rides the same as the conventional one.

It did, didn't it? Gotta go where the thread takes you

My twintip is 110cm, so it fits in a large bag already. I'd like to be able to travel with a surfboard that could fit in a bag though, if they can maintain the same strength and flex.

I travel a bit with work, quite like to take my kite gear but nothing screams 'not taking this seriously' much more than turning up to the airport with a surfboard under you arm!
