Here's Andrew Cotton riding one of the biggest waves ever surfed. Check out the seagull in the foreground, directly above him, and it sort of looks like a kite above him! I can't imagine that a kitesurfer would ever be game enough to try kiting in waves of this size.

of course, everybody knows that as the waves get bigger they get easier to ride, not sure how you'd go with the speed and catching up the kite, wind angle would need to be perfect. Hate to say it but waves of this size seem to be shredded more fluently by windsurfers

I agree with Austin. Certainly wind blown waves get better with size. Theres a critical size around 1.5 head I recon where the suck back of the wave cleans and smooths up the faces. It makes them easy to ride.

I know big waves just scare the pants off me, I run away with straps on and donkey dick tucked in tight, ill have to stick to 1ft beachies from now on
