JN Prima Donna has this really stupid way of attaching chicken loop. I guess they wanted to be different from the rest and they are, but for the wrong reasons. It's arranged in the way that when you release the quick release, the actual chicken loop stays on your harness hook held the by the donkey stick while the bar flies away. The tape keeping it all together eventually breaks and getting it fixed or replaced is a major hassle.
For that reason I'm looking at buying alternative brand of a 5 line bar. Apparently the main difference between the is the 5 th line, whether it's under constant tension or not. Could someone please elaborate on this issue? I love the kite itself so don't want to change it because of the bar. Thanks in advance.

Why new bar ? Just replace the chicken loop with one you like.

Just make sure , when you make the changes , you don't have too much tension on the 5th . I learnt the hard way, that you won't be able to body drag upwind to your board with too much tension on the 5th line should you and your board part company. J
