I haven't been a member since 2010/11, due to being told by the then President of waksa that my son was not covered by your insurance to enter the Redbull L2L because he was under 18, congrats to this years winner, a 17yr old.
I would like to know if your insurance small print has changed as I feel I may re-join !!!!!!!!!!

many thanks for a swift response,

kind regards, Tony

p.s. I love red thumbs

Olly is a british entrant, they have their own insurance www.britishkitesports.org/bksa-membership/insurance-policy.html

This is only an assumption, but im sure there allocations for junior in recent version of the insurance.
All events require insurance....
There were WA juniors included in the Oceanic last year.
Their were WA juniors at the wave state titles this year.
Mani from WA is racing at the ISAF world cup in Melbs this week and is a WA kiter.

Best to send waksa@waksa.org.au an email directly, as i doubt the waksa volunteers check the forum daily.

Hi Tony

interesting how we each remember the conversation so vastly differently.

My recollection of the conversation was that at that particular time it wasn't that the PL insurance policy didn't cover under 18's, but that one of the conditions of entry to the event at that time the event was only open to over 18's. Obviously, the event conditions of entry have changed since 2010/11....

Always good to have crew re-join Tony - hope to see you at WAKSA events over the rest of the summer.
