Hey guys I have a 45cm 2012 cabrinha bar with pretty old lines, the integrated tube through the bar always needs untwisting and the chicken loop is unreliable (impossible) to be reset in the water. Having said that it still has some life left in it and is useable but seems like an accident waiting to happen due to hear failure.
I want to replace the lines and the chicken loop/safety system with the ozone megatron system because of the push away quick release and the non integrated tube through the bar. The cabrinha bar (ie the bar ONLY) itself has plenty of life, and I would like to try and use an ozone kite (6/7m^2) as well as my 9m and maybe 12m switchblades (2012/2013 models respectively).
Does anyone know if this would work?
And if so is there any sort of guide to do this which exists on the internet?
...or am I better off waiting for the 2015 1X overdrive bar to come on sale when the 2016 gear comes on special?

Doesn't the 2012 have a below the bar swivel to remedy that?
You could do all that, but why not sell the bar and get a complete Ozone bar???
Always makes me laugh when people say they can't reset that QR. First thing I did when I got my hands on one was to pop it and reset it, then do it again one handed. Easy.
All those kites you've mentioned only need a good 4 line bar system. Plenty for sale on gumtree and here with a push out QR. Don't waste ya money on the megatron, as it requires your entire setup to be changed. Not worth the hassle.
