In the process of getting a 16m Cabrinha switchy '06 as am moving to Singapore, where the wind is light, oh so light.

Will i be able to use my Naish bar and lines? also four lines, approx 50-40 cm bar, from a 10.5 metre kite.

any help is appreciated.

Keeping the Naish for the NE Monsoon in Singapore, apparently for a couple of months of the year the wind does not disappoint.

Any fourline bar will work, may need to make up some pig tails to adjust for any change in length and knot type.
Be carefull kiting in Singapore, the wind there is really erratic espicially when associated with thunder clouds. I saw a water spout about 100m high form about 200m from me (luckily I was standing on a rig).

Which year Naish bar. I know my 08 10.5 cut came with 20m lines. With a big kite like a 16 you want 25-27 metre lines.

Also, a 16m will turn alot slower than a 10.5, so a 55-60cm bar could be better than yours.

why do you need a fast turning kite? there are no waves in singapore.

For jumping and looping.

i reckon its better to have a short bar and slow turning kite so it doesn't move so much when you do a trick.
you jump by loading the lines, not by turning the kite fast. stick with the shorter bar in my opinion.

With a big kite your more likey to be needing to sine it since your out in light wind, and i'm talking massive floaty jumps not popping off the water a couple of meters

Ok, so it can be a short or a long bar... depending on who you talk to. But will probably need line extensions if using my '08 cult 10.5, and watch for water spouts...got it.

I can understand wanting to have a slower, steadier kite, but would that not be detrimental in lighter wind?
