What amazes me about this, is how little speed is required to to lift a man and board out of the water!

That's what caught me by surprise the first time I got up and could just go till I wanted to stop.
I expected that as I slowed the foil would just sink. But it was still holding up at next to zero speed.
The pumping to keep going on that video could be a useful technique to have.

The old skateboard tick-tack works too and is less effort
