Hey dudes

I have a little technical question here. I bought a kite today, a 2006 cabrinha switchblade1 (9m). I ve been told that I can fit an IDS line on it, and there is the IDS thingy on the chicken loop already, but I don t really know how to do it.

I was also told that I could use my 09 IDS bar ( I also owe a 2009 cab IDS 12m), but the compatibility chart from cab says otherwise.

Does someone has experience in this ? Can I indeed use a 2009 IDS bar with a 2006 SB kite ? The pulleys look completley different. What would happen if I do connect those and activate the IDS ? Would the kite flag and drop nicely ?

Looking fwd for some advice here...

Cheers
Olivier

No It wouldn't work. The kite would still fly, but not depower like the IDS system. The bottom two pulleys on the 2009 kite are what make the kite flip on it's back. your 2006 kite is not set up like this, it would not flag completely, but remain somewhat powered(this is theory only, as I have not tried it). My advice is don't mess around with the safety on this kite if you don't understand it.
