How good are double and triple boosts. Generally happens in squally weather when you jump to decent height and then start going up again, and then sometimes again....BOOOOOOO...BOOOOO......BOOOOOOOOOOOOST...oh sh!t how do i get down from here!

Any good stories from this winter?

When I was learning I got hit by a winter squall and this happened but the second time it hit with such force I didnt want to point my kite too shore or to sea so I put it at twelve and thought I would ride it out. But it just got stronger, tea bagged me at about 5m and then started asending,. I **** my wetty and ejected only yo fall from the sky

First time it happened to me I shat myself, thought I would just keep going up, so I just let go of the bar and came crashing down :).

Even better if you are looping the kite when the gust hits...height, power and a sh1t stained wetty.

been a great winter imo...

Whaka yeah!

Just to amuse cauncy. If you combine the elevator boost with launching off a triple head wave, boosting over the next one then landing on and riding the third barrelling wave That is nirvana baby................... hhehehheheheh ahahhahahaha. Then I woke up.

But yes. There's something primal about fighting the 30-40 knot monster and sometimes winning. Love it. I think I prefer crazy winter storms to predictable summer seabreezes!

Plummet your balls must be so big, do you carry them around with two wheelbarrows?

That would keep your plums nice and warm.

What I don't get is why others don't come onto these boosting threads and scream out whaka yeah boosting yeeeaaaaaaaah!....

Isn't that why most of us got into kiting?

Most people haven't learnt how to boost properly plummet. They get too carried away with grovelling on a surfboard in 2ft blown out garbage, or "push the boundaries" doing rotations and wear knee braces at age 19. I'm happy to throw down 35 foot airs and land softly on my grandpa style ozone edge for the next 50 years.

hehehe. yep. Well keep the stoke going man. I too will be happy boosting for the next 35 years.
I've had a few howling 30-40 knot sessions the winter.
This one boost I did which was decent height I jumped around a wave kiter riding a wave upwind.
As I reached the peak of my height he slotted into the pocket of this sweet wave.
It was a cool view point looking down on this guy as he ride the wave.

reminds me of my old Airblast 16.4. summer at lake Cairn Curran and going for a jump as the wind ripplets came across water.
Thermal though not a gust. 22.5ish square metres of kite sort of turns you into a paraglider.

I'm with ya on that Wishy . Occasionally get that second boost in westerlies , feels great . I remember once I boosted off flat water and instead of floating downwind just went nearly straight up and got 3 boosts out of it to around 20 ft but the weird thing is I only went downwind about 10 ft , wind direction must have been shifting heaps. Feels good to boost over that next wave Plums , I feel ya stoke.
