Apologies for the blatant self-promotion!! Pocket money all spent! Time to get my bum into gear again!
cheers to all,
Neil

You've always been good mate, and Jesper last I heard wasn't doing bladder repairs.

We'll all be seeing you soon I guess!

My dear kite looks in a very good condition, but I once tried to inflate it and left it for around 2 hours and it was still kinda stiff. I decided to lock the struts and leave it over night. Then It looked little bit deflated. I opened the struts and heard air going through almost every strut... Can't figure out what's the problem.. Tried the soap water technique and there was no bubbles... What do u think the problem could be ? And how much do u think it'll cost to get the kite back gd as new ?

you have a leak in the valve/valve connectors or a small hole in your leading edge bladder. That is one way to test where a hole is. Blow your kite up to 10psi, get a trigger spray gun and put a lot of detergent and mix with water. spray around the valves and connectors first as this is the most likely place for a small leak. If nothing bubbles, continue spraying over the leading edge, especially where the kite makes contact with the ground. A small bladder repai will be cheaper from a professional like Neil if you know where it is and cant be bothered doing it yourself.

This could be a problem the next time you decide to go kiting overnight! If not, I wouldn't worry too much. If it stays pretty hard for 2 hours that's not too bad. Just ride into the beach and give it a quick pump. OR after a 2-hour session, check each strut and see if it is reasonably hard. If all are hard then your Leading Edge must be losing some air. To be honest, the boys at SOS in South Fremantle are experts at this compared to me due to a little more floor space! Chances are it's just a leaking valve which is easily fixed.

Due to 2016 gear coming out, I recently have been confused at work what year to put on job cards. I assume you have the same problem hopefully as you do top repairs Neil and may need you in the next year

He's probably not even going away Moons, merely using the power of Murphy's Law to drum up additional business
