Hey am newbie to kitesurfing. Am having no problems standing up and freight training along ripping up huge spray without eating it but that was on a mates old board we borrowed and have no idea what size it was.
So i am looking for a board am unsure of size x width etc. What would be best?
Would be matching it with a 13m and a 8m kite...
Am looking at the LF Recoil 133 what would be good?
btw I weight 75kg and just want to tear everything up, from waves and chop to downwinders and cruise!!!
hey dude you are looking for something wide rather than long. i meanwhen i first started i had a underground waev tray 146 by 44 i think. and it was easy to get up on but i quickly outgrew it .. say a month then went for a better board. so my advice is dont waste your time look at getting a new decent board straight away. it will take u further than just your begginer stage, and its generally hard to find a decent second hand board because people tend to hold on the them for your size i would say 128-132 would be good some brands to look at noble, underground and lightwave are all good boards ive used. good luck bro welcome to the sport
Yeah its so hard finding boards... I thought a 128 would be a real light persons board but comparing to 95kg riders on 130's i guess i am light. Wish I knew what dimensions are on the wakeboards i use are too.
Reckon a real big long wide board would only last a week or two too... am thinking of turning an old surfboard into a cruiser for that stuff and doin the zen thing as you said and just get the board i'll ride now, like a shop 07 discount model or something
Cheers fly will keep truckin a decent ones bound to pop up soon! Damn cold in tassie water...
