Just wondering if anyone has had any good/bad experiences flying with kite gear with Hawaiian Airlines. Last time I went to Hawaii I flew Jetstar & paid no excess luggage at all!! , (this was for normal luggage for my wife & self and then 2 kite surfboards and a dakine travel bag with 3 kites, bars, harness etc.) although Jetstars onboard service was pretty ordinary! . Jet star have since changed their baggage allowance for flights from Sydney - Honolulu with a 20kg per person checked baggage limit and then it's charged at AUS$20 per kilo over. Hence thought might give Hawaiian a go so any advice appreciated. Thanks, Hargs
