G'day,
the cleat on my chicken loop got a bit corroded (wash your gear in fresh water kiddies) so i got my hands on a replacement chicken loop but knwo i finding it a bit of a bastard to fit it.
first of the depower rope will just not fit through the stopper ball so i've had to cut the old depower rope and discard the stopper and finally its a massive effort to fit the rope through the rest of the components (pulleys etc). im currently usuing the brute force and ignorance strategy (pushing and pulling with long nose pliers).
is there an easier way?
all ive got left to do is put the plastic ball thingos on the end of the depower rope now that ive fed it through the pulley and cleat.
cheers

The best way get the new rope through all the pulleys and stopper ball is to use whipping thread on the end of the rope and pull it through the stopper. This way you are compressing the rope at the same time, also make sure you cut the rope with a heat knife this will stop the rope fraying at the end. Hope this helps.
