Very, very different boards. Hadlow is much stiffer, way more rocker, and more bottom shape. The Laluz is a great all rounder, Hadlow is a much more aggressive, focused board.

Try them both if you can.

The Hadlow Pro is still very flexible?? Great board in the chop. Good upwind, pops well, carves awesome. Good width for a decent bottom end. The fins make it a bit loose and beginners may find that a little tricky??

The Laluz also seems to be a cracker from the reviews. I haven't ridden the Laluz, but I picked one up and they are LIGHT, bit squarer outline than the Hadlow. So a bit easier to get up and going, but wouldn't carve as easy as the Hadlow.
Purely based on shape I would say the Hadlow is just in front for unhooked specific riding and the Laluz takes the prize for best all round board.

Hi mate,

i really depends for what you want to use the board/what conditions you will be riding in.

The laluz will be better for choppy conditions as it has heaps of flex and is super light/responsive so you will get more pop than out of a stiffer board.
The Hadlow will be better in smooth, flat water especially if you put bindings on it.

If you like the Xenon boards then check out the infra which is the dedicated 3D shape xenon which is stiffer with more rocker like Hadlow Pro.

hope that helps

I thought you can get more POP out of a stiffer board, is that wrong? Ta.

it depends on the conditions- in flater water yes, but choppy waters no

I think one of the differences of the two boards is that you cant use boots on hadlow, while you can on the laluz 132?

you can use boots on both boards however warranty will be void on both if you break the boards using boots!

Is that fact or conjecture? I know you can speak for the brands you sell but kitescoop is full of stories of boards being replaced under warranty.

Cabrinha, slingshot, liquid force, and best will all replace their wake style boards if broken while riding boots from what I'm told. This is a bit of a tightrope though. For example, liquid force boards come with a notice in the warranty that says they will only cover you if ridden with LF boots.

Best thing is to ask before you buy I suppose.

they are replaced under warranty because they are wakestyle boards. Laluz and hadlow pro are not wakestyle boards. Cab custom warranty is void if you hit sliders but if you just ride boots and are in the flats all good.

They're very different boards. Why are you comparing a freestyle board (Hadlow) to a freeride board (La Luz)?

I've ridden both and am 85kg. Personally the La Luz is far too soft and flexible for the average 80kg 6 foot guy. I'd say it'd be perfect for groms or anyone around 60kg. Being ridden when well powered up with my weight on it made it feel like an unresponsive wet noodle. Every little piece of chop was absorbed by the boards flex which meant it also soaked up a lot of the rider input too, which whilst making it ride very smoothly, IMO does not make it a good freestyle board.

The Hadlow has a moderate amount of rocker but a big concave bottom which seems to make it plane quite quickly. It's not Nobile 2HD stiff, but it's got a nice flex pattrn which works really well when powered up to give a reasonably good ride whilst feeling responsive.

At the end of the day its personal preference as to where you're going to compromise on your board selection. One board can't be all things for all riders. I'm a huge fan of the Nobile NHP's, but what works for me might not be right for you. Demo, demo, demo.

If you explain what sort or riding you do it would help because the two boards are as it has been said totally different. Do you do freestyle or free ride. Do you hit sliders, do you kite in the surf. How long have you been kiting for. I ride at 87kg a Laluz as i like to just free ride and the conditions around my area get fairly choppy so this board suits these conditions perfectly but the hadlow pro wouldnt suit me because i dont do freestyle. Ask yourself the same question and then demo everything you can get your hands on as you might find something totally different you like.
